I’m happy to introduce my new colleague and friend, Dr. Jen Morton, to The Recovery Joint!
Jen is such a valuable additional resource for all our patients and I’m excited for you to meet her to experience her excellent physical therapy insight, treatments and care first-hand.
I value Jen because she has such high integrity and moral character and I know she treats her patients in a professional, caring and best-practice way. She uses ethical decision making, state-of-art manual therapy techniques and exercise education to help each patient achieve their personal goals.
About Jen
Jen grew up in Arvada, Colorado where she was very active in sports and pursued soccer from the age of five all the way through college. She sustained several soccer injuries, including an ACL reconstruction, which drove her passion toward becoming a physical therapist to help others heal and strengthen their bodies.
After her ACL injury Jen made a recovery and played college soccer at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hackensack, NJ and earned her degree in Natural Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She went on to attain her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Colorado in 2013.
Jen lives in Arvada, Colorado with her husband Mark and two children. She loves the balance that physical therapy has given to her life as she’s been able to be a professional, wife and mother. Jen and her family love the outdoors and enjoy running, biking, hiking, skiing, and camping together. They’re also very active in their parish and small church community.
“It’s so rewarding getting to work one-on-one with and to listen to and help my patients achieve their specific and unique goals to really make a difference in their lives. I love encouraging and boosting them toward their intentions,” says Jen. “I’m very excited to incorporate the entire gym setting into my patient treatment here at The Recovery Joint.”
Here’s how Jen can help you
Jen sees patients through all spans of life, from adolescents to those in their seventies and beyond. She treats people with a full body approach that can otherwise be limited by insurance coverage. “When someone comes in with a back problem, but their foot also hurts, I want to be able to address their entire body, and not just what I have a script for,” says Jen. She specializes in athletic injuries, general orthopedics, conditioning, and post-operative recovery.
Here are some examples of conditions Jen can treat:
Orthopedic Conditions: neck, mid back, low back, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle/foot
Headaches: cervicogenic
Older adults: fall risk, strengthening/exercise programs for home or gym
Athletic injuries and sports performance
Conditioning: inactive lifestyles wanting to increase activity, athletes returning to sport
Post-operative orthopedic rehab
Chronic pain
Jen and I would love to work with you to help keep your body healthy and moving at its optimal level! You can call us at 720-320-4212, or email us at info@therecoveryjoint.com to schedule an appointment.
Here’s to your best health!
